EG221 provides students with an opportunity to gain a general overview of concepts of sustainability emerging from concerns about the environmental and climate crisis. The module requires students to experientially engage with debates by devising, presenting and carrying out a meaningful project, which relates to sustainable practices in the events and hospitality industry. It promotes key sustainability competences by encouraging students to critically reflect on their project and its impact on stakeholders. These projects can have a wide range of aims and forms whereby students are encouraged to meet sustainability real-world needs of the industry.
