Timetabling set up a webinar/meeting - I [want it] changed to a Meeting/webinar. How will this affect the students?
[Updated 25th Jan 2021]
Please contact CTO (usually via your department timetabling officer) if you want to change the Zoom format that has been advertised to students in their Outlook calendar. If this is less than 2 days before the event you can follow the instructions below to do this yourself, however you should inform students of the change of format, as although their calendar link will remain the same - they will not be aware that the Zoom format has changed which may affect their preparation and attendance.
If less than 2 days before the event - change format instructions: Zoom has updated its settings and both webinars and meetings can be converted to the other format if required. Login to your Zoom cloud account locate the event (webinar or meeting) that is scheduled, click on the title of the event and scroll to the bottom of the settings. On the bottom right you will find a small link that allows you to convert to the other Zoom format (meeting or webinar). Email your students to notify them of the event format change. The event will continue to be recorded as expected to Listen Again. Please note that if your student numbers exceed 300 the event should remain as a webinar otherwise some students will not be able to join the Zoom session.
NB: If you do not have this functionality please check that your version of Zoom is up to date as follows (you should check for Zoom updates regularly):
