The aim of this module is to study a range of social psychology theory and research. The module addresses core theories of social behaviour and social information processing. At the end of the module you should have a clear understanding of the topics social psychologists are interested in and their approach to their study. You will also be able to compare and contrast the different perspectives of Economics and Psychology in the various areas covered. Each of the topics (see below) will be covered in sufficient depth for you to be able to appreciate classical social psychological theories and findings as the foundation of this empirical discipline.
