What happens when you start and stop the timetabled Zoom session multiple times before or during a teaching event?
When the lecturer stops and starts the Zoom session multiple times this leads to
multiple recording segments which will then result in the first segment being pushed to Listen Again. This may be the wrong recording or only part of the lecture. In this case you will receive an email as follows:
This is an automated email from Listen Again, regarding
the following teaching event:
Type: Lecture/Class/Lab
Module: ######
Date: ######
Zoom ID: ### #### ####
Whilst importing your Zoom session into Listen Again
(Panopto) we identified that the recording was split into multiple segments, we
have imported each segment separately and have listed them below. Listen Again
can only present a single recording segment to students, and so we have
defaulted to the first of these.
1 - Date -link to recording - Presented in Listen Again
Why aren't the recording segments joined automatically?
The host may have split the session into multiple
segments intentionally, for example to have a private post-lecture discussion
with an indvidiual student. It's also easier to join multiple recordings in
Panopto than it is to split one into multiple parts.
If you have questions about this import, or encounter
problems with the recording. Please contact the Learning Technology Team, at ltt@essex.ac.uk.
