This module is an introduction to game theory and its applications in political science. You will learn the necessary modelling tools that allow you to look at political phenomena from a theoretical perspective. No prior knowledge of these techniques is required or expected. By the end of the semester, the students are expected to understand various types of games and solution concepts, as well as to be able to apply them to a wide variety of political phenomena, e.g., campaigns and elections, ethnic conflicts, wars and deterrence, etc.
