Aims and objectives
Russian Beginners Two is part of the Languages for All programme. It aims to provide students with
a. the basic language skills necessary to communicate in Russian in simple, everyday tasks and situations related to living, studying or working in Russia
b. a deeper understanding of Russian culture and traditions
c. the basic structures and language study skills to ensure progression in language proficiency
The main goal of Russian Beginners Two is to help students progress on the basic language skills acquired in LX596 Russian One. The language focuses on simple, everyday conversations in Russian. Among the learning outcomes of Russian Beginners Two are: the ability to demonstrate limited autonomy in a variety of standard situations, the ability to obtain general and specific information in the target language, and to communicate and request information in familiar work and social situations.
