Aims and objectives
Arabic Beginners Two is part of the Languages for All programme. It aims to provide students with
a. the basic language skills necessary to communicate in Arabic in simple, everyday tasks and situations related to living, studying or working in an Arabic-speaking country
b. the ability to comprehend and write short Arabic texts
c. a deeper understanding of Arabic culture and traditions
d. the basic structures and language study skills to ensure progression in language proficiency
The main goal of Arabic Beginners Two is to help students progress in the basic language skills acquired in LX896 Arabic One. The language focuses on simple, everyday conversations in Arabic. Among the learning outcomes of Arabic Beginners Two are: the ability to demonstrate limited autonomy in a variety of standard situations, the ability to obtain general and specific information in the target language, and to communicate and request information in familiar work and social situations.
