This module is an advanced survey of major topics in contemporary experimental social psychology. It includes but is not limited to motivation, emotion, self and identity, intergroup bias, automaticity, existential psychology, social justice, evolutionary psychology and health. For each topic, critical analysis of relevant theory and research will form the basis of written and oral work in the module. It is important to note that the exact topics covered from year to year will rotate depending on the expertise of the available teaching staff.
