LA620 is a module which works either as a follow-up to LA610 or a complete beginner course for those who have a strong language background/commitment (e.g. native Spanish exchange students in the department). In the first term we will be doing reinforcement learning by using varied tasks and activities and then we will be progressing in to vocabulary building. For example, we will be learning to describe people and places. We will look at some Italian cities such as Milano, Bologna, Firenze, Roma, Napoli and, finally, we will analyse idioms and conversational Italian.

At the end of the module you should:

Be able to describe people and places
Be able to talk about past events
Be able to give instructions and advice
Be able to express wishes
Be able to understand some idioms
Be able to use skills to expand vocabulary
