Course Organisation
Areas of study are negotiable with supervisors but, for students on specialist pathways, must be in the students chosen area (cardiac rehabilitation).

There will be a seminar during week 11 during which academic staff will talk about appropriate areas for study and outline constraints that must be considered. A project proposal will be constructed and submitted for assessment (10% of your project grade). During the summer term data collection period, students will be expected to meet with their supervisor at two-weekly intervals and to submit interim drafts of appropriate sections of the report for scrutiny. A complete draft of the report will be submitted to the supervisor two weeks prior to the final version of the report being submitted to the scheme office. Assessment of the report will provide 80% of your project grade. The remaining 10% of your project grade comes from a poster session during which students will respond to questions from assessors.

Learning outcomes
In order to pass this module students will need to demonstrate that they can undertake a substantial piece of independent, practical, research work.
