The aim of the module is to introduce students to the range of physiotherapy core skills and their safe and effective utilisation in relation to common pathologies of the Lower Quadrant. Students will consider the pathophysiological, behavioural and functional changes associated with Lower Quadrant pathologies and a wide range of assessment and treatment strategies and their rationale.

-Pathology - soft tissue injuries, rheumatology, fractures, dislocations and bone pathology of the Lower Quadrant.
-Medical, surgical and physiotherapy management of pathologies of the -Lower Quadrant.
-Psychosocial influences on rehabilitation of acute and chronic disorders of the Lower Quadrant.
-Assessment and manual therapy techniques for the Lower Quadrant.
-Review and evaluation.
